How to Set Goals
How to set goals will become easier and come to you with less effort once you determine your starting point and your finishing or better what you want to feel like when you have completed you goals. Goal setting is all about setting goals where you know what it will feel like when you are completed. Which reminds me of a study that a college did that took everyone by surprise. The Study Of Fear!In this study they took one college student at a time and placed them in a room with no windows and when they shut the lights off it would be completely dark with no ability to see anything. They hooked them up to all kinds of monitors to read what was happening within their bodies, then told each student that they were not going to be alone in the dark, and it could be something extremely dangerous. Next they shut the lights off and found that the monitors went off the charts. They were is such fear that they were frozen stiff, not moving from fear. When they completed documenting the monitors they turned on the lights. Expecting them to stay in this fear as the first thing they saw when they turned the lights on, was a man-eating lion. But what actually happened was the complete opposite. The fear went down, they became more relaxed, and things seem to go almost to normal. WHY?What they found out is that the fear of not knowing was more powerful than anything that they could muster up to cause fear. This is why many times goal setting will not work! The Fear of the Unknown! What I have found is how to set goals was never the same for everyone, and I found that they never have the same result on a consistent basis. Those that do accomplish goals had an idea of what to expect, but many of them found that it took much longer then they expected. Those that didn't have a clue what it would look like with the goal complete never came close to achieving their goals. So to begin we must learn how to set goals to make them happen. The questions below will assist in determining where you are currently, which should help determine within your mind that you are ready to change.
